A brief stop is made to enjoy its beauty and have a cup of warm coffee. After another stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast you will shortly arrive at the dock to board the boat and begin the most exciting part of your venture. Gliding through Tortuguero's network of lakes and canals you will have the chance to observe close at hand: sloths, monkeys, birds, and magnificent butterflies. After an exquisite lunch at the lodge and a visit to a banana packing plant, return to San Jose. All day

Monte Sky: Feel the Cloud-Rainforest

After an early morning pickup at your hotel in San Jose, we drive towards Cartago, Costa Rica's first capital, and continue towards the Orosi Valley known as the Enchanted Valley. You'll soon see the reason for it's name. This is a magical place, full of lush vegetation and coffee plantations.

Although only 30 miles from San Jose, the cloud and rain forests of MONTE SKY are a world apart!

The hikes on well marked trails, across rivers and arriving at several waterfalls in the area will allow you to experience the many sights, smells and sounds present in this magnificent forest. MONTE SKY is an ideal place to observe exotic plants, as well as a large variety of birds and small mammals. On a clear day you will be able to see the Turrialba, Irazú, Barva and Poas volcanoes which run along the Talamanca Mountain Range.

The tour offers a house that can accomodate 20 persons and also 6 plataforms for tents deep in the mountain, completely separated from civilization, but yet with all security available.
